Description

An imposing gilt bronze candelabra, crafted in the spirit of the French Empire style. The piece takes the form of a classical vase, decorated in relief with three draped female figures in the antique style, depicted in a graceful dance and rendered with great sculptural finesse. Above the vase, two finely chiseled serpents coil around the upper section, providing a transition to the rich composition of the candelabra's bouquet of lights. From this ensemble rise eight elegantly curved arms, adorned with acanthus leaves, floral motifs, and delicately worked rosettes. The candle holders support small cup-shaped sockets decorated with leaves. The whole rests on a square, architecturally designed base, adorned with a classical beaded frieze and rosettes. The gilding is particularly fresh and even, displaying a beautiful warm hue that highlights the quality of the chasing and the richness of the decoration. A decorative and sculptural object of great presence, perfectly illustrating the monumental vocabulary of the Empire style. Dimensions: Height: 78 cm Width: 36 cm
